Arie Laor, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Arie Laor joined GREENKOTE in 2005 as Vice President of marketing before taking on his current role. Prior to that, he gained experience in a variety of marketing, business development and turnaround roles in the metal and electronics sectors. Mr. Laor holds a BS and MS in Materials Engineering from Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the Management College in Israel.

James Thomson, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer

Jim Thomson has been Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2005 after serving in the same capacity at IPC. He has served in senior financial positions at a variety of companies including Arthur Andersen, BP Coal and Teledyne. He is a CPA and received a BS in Economics and Accounting from Miami University, Ohio, and earned an MBA in Finance and Planning from Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Dan Riter, Director of Engineering

Dan Riter holds an applied science and technology degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, with more than 35 years of experience in materials and applications systems within the coatings industry. Mr. Riter’s expertise focuses on electro coating (e-coat), metal plating, diffusion coatings and phosphating technologies. He has managed coating projects in nine countries in the past 15 years, with responsibility for eight major coating line installations.

Advisory Board

David E. Azagury – As a former President of Polyester Business for DuPont Teijin Films, Mr. Azagury has in-depth business management skills and manufacturing experience to position GREENKOTE as a leader in the coatings industry. He has a solid track record of enhancing shareholder value by leading joint-venture partnerships, integrating product and process technologies and developing innovative business solutions. He has a bachelor’s of science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aston Birmingham.

Robert G. Hirsch, PhD – Dr. Hirsch retired as Global Managing Director for DuPont’s Intellectual Assets & Licensing Business in 2004 and is currently an executive consultant in licensing and IP commercialization as well as in R&D and business management. During his 30+ year career, he held a wide variety of managerial positions including leading the development and commercialization of breakthrough technologies for film and resin manufacturing. He has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Scranton, a master’s degree in Engineering and Applied Physics from Harvard University and a PhD in Physics from the University of Virginia.

Phillip B. Stern – As co-founder and current Chief Executive Officer of yet2.com Inc, one of the world’s largest technology exchanges, Mr. Stern has provided leadership and management from entrepreneurial start-ups to global organizations and corporate divisions, including Polaroid and McKinsey & Company Inc., giving him a substantial breadth of experience solving issues and developing breakthrough strategies. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Princeton University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
